Just as in Jonas’ time, so too today may we commit ourselves to conversion; may we be signs lighting the way and announcing salvation. This time for conversion, this time for salvation, is the time for mercy.  And so, let us say together in response to the suffering on so many faces: In your compassion and mercy, Lord, have pity on us … cleanse us from our sins and create in us a pure heart, a new spirit (cf. Ps 50).” Pope Francis, Homily in Mexico, Feb. 2016

With an estimated population of over 30,000,000, Mexico City is one of the largest concentrations of humanity in the world and it is here that Our Lady chose to appear, and here that Our Lady of Guadalupe has been named the Star of the New Evangelization.

Join us for a one week mission to Mexico, as we collaborate with Craig Johring of Hope for the Poor Ministries for a vibrant schedule. We will be engaging with the poorest of the poor in Mexico City and Catholic University students, as well as a pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Mission participants will have an opportunity to proclaim the Gospel and invite people to an encounter with Jesus.

Spanish is an asset for this mission as a portion of the mission will be equipping a parish in the city to lead the CCO faith studies.

What’s Included: Airfare to Mexico, pre-trip orientation, food & lodging in-country, project materials, in-country transportation.

What’s Not Included: Immunizations & personal travel medicines, travel to and from the orientation city (Ottawa), passport and visa expenses, travel medical insurance, other personal incidentals

Fundraising: Each CCO Missions Participant has the opportunity to fundraise the entire cost of his or her mission trip. After you have been accepted on a mission trip, you will be contacted by a CCO staff member regarding fundraising.
