I have been a seminarian for the Archiocese of Vancouver for almost 3 years now. My favourite class is Intro to Philosophy, with Aristotle’s Nichomachean Ethics. What resonates with me in that class is man’s desire for happiness and the importance of virtue.

During my free time I like to listen to music like R&B, alternative rock, pop, and praise and worship. I like to watch movies especially chick flicks like About Time, 500 Days of Summer, and One Day. I like to read personal development books like How to Win Friends and Influence People, 5 Levels of Leadership, the Slight Edge. I am a typical Filipino, I like basketball, karaoke, woah-ing, lumpia, good haircuts, and parties.

I was involved in Youth Ministry for about 8 years and that’s where I discovered my passion for serving the youth, the poor, and the Church. We had many events that focused on relationship with Christ and others, God and neighbour. There were events that we called ‘Backpack Run’ where we put sandwiches in our bags and walked around Downtown Vancouver giving out food and spending time with the poor and the hungry. There were also times where we would participate in an Agape Walk, walking down East Hastings and handing out rosaries to women in the streets, and praying with them whenever they had prayer intentions on the spot.

With your financial support I will be able to go on a mission trip with other young people who have the same passion as me, and to do what Jesus did, to journey with the poor. So thank you for the 🤑 and for the 👏🏻, to be more clear, thank you so much for the funds and for the prayers.
