Hello everyone my name is Bruno and I am very excited to proclaim the Gospel on mission to Rome this year! I am a graduate of the University of British Columbia where I majored in electrical engineering and I am currently doing work in the field. Besides my professional life, you can find me in a variety of settings, whether that be reading books, experimenting with my cooking, sharing moments with my men’s group and, of course, sharing the word of the Lord to people in my area. I’m blessed to be able to help and witness people’s walks with Jesus whether in big or small steps.

However it wasn’t always like this. It wasn’t until after I graduated university and started taking my faith seriously that I discovered how deep it really is. This journey led me to the wonderful people at CCO and taking the first Discovery faith study. After learning about God’s love in Discovery, I found this great excitement in the word and wanted to share it so that others can rejoice in the Good News too. Fast forward a year and a half and after leading Discovery and taking a few faith studies in between, I now find myself at the stepping stones of a mission to Rome with that same excitement to continue spreading the Good News to everyone.

Why do I want to be on Mission?

Ever since my re-conversion last year, it’s been a dream of mine to visit Rome and explore the physical locations of so much of the New Testament and our catholic faith. However the Lord has better plans because of instead of just “going to Rome”, He’s called me to share the Gospel and minister to people in that very same place.

I want to be part of this mission because I want to lead more people closer to Jesus and share the joy of God’s love. As St. Paul proclaimed and ministered to the Romans 2000 years before and made himself a “fool for Christ”, I welcome this opportunity to be a “fool for Christ” and accompany the pilgrims in Rome.
