About me

I am a fourth year Accounting Major in the Bachelor of Commerce Program at Dalhousie. I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of the Men’s Hockey Team during my time at the school.

Hockey has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember and has been an incredible platform for ministry and evangelization. Growing up in Halifax, my parents instilled in me that faith came before sports but that the two weren’t mutually exclusive. I carried that philosophy into my junior hockey career where I split time between Quebec City, QC and Moncton, NB. Over the course of five years, I was blessed to be able to use my influence as a hockey player to start youth groups in each location and share my faith with young people in the communities I was living in.

Upon arriving at Dalhousie to continue my hockey career and pursue my degree, I joined CCO in the form of a faith study. I was grateful to have found a Christian community on campus to support me in my faith journey. That is something I lacked at times during my junior career. I am currently leading a faith study with 9 of my teammates and friends. It’s amazing to see how the Spirit is moving through the conversations we are having!

Why do I want to be on Mission?

My hockey career is coming to an end. For the first time, I am able to say yes to opportunities such as the World Youth Day mission. Evangelization has always been on my heart and God has blessed me with countless different opportunities to share my faith. This mission seems to be what He is calling me to next.

While Catholic Christian Outreach seeks to honour the expressed preference of each gift, I acknowledge that my gift is a gift to the ministry of Catholic Christian Outreach and will be used by Catholic Christian Outreach in a manner that it believes will best advance its charitable purposes. If my preference changes, it is my responsibility to inform Catholic Christian Outreach.

CCO is a registered Canadian charity (#13782 4363 RR0001) and income tax receipts are issued in February of each year.
