Clara M.

Hi! My name is Clara, and I am currently in my very last semester of undergrad for psychology and will soon be graduating! I am looking forward to pursuing a career in teaching elementary since it has always been a joy of mine to teach and inspire kids. I currently live in Vancouver and if anyone would ask me why I love it here, it’s because of the blend of city and nature (especially the mountains!!!) which I can never get tired of. My most favorite thing to do is to spend quality time with my loved ones (that definitely includes Jesus!). My ideal day out would be going to mass in the morning, then spending time at a book store picking out something to read, walking around the city or in nature while taking a bunch of nice photos, and then settling down at a cafe to drink coffee, eat and chat away! I also wouldn’t mind painting while listening to music to wind down for the night.

Why do I want to be on Mission?

Jesus is my first love and because of what he has done for me, my response out of love for him is to bring the good news to others. Growing up, I always felt like things in this world were fleeting and could never fill this void in me but when I really got to know Jesus, my life changed and I could never go back to the way it was before. I can confidently say that Jesus is my true happiness and he has changed my life radically and because he has, I too desire for other people to witness and experience the beauty and joy that it is in having a personal relationship with Jesus.
Over the last few years, CCO has given me the tools and skills to help me share my faith on campus and other people I encounter at work, in my parish and in the community. It has been such a joy getting to witness other people encounter Jesus, and I am very excited to have this opportunity to share Jesus with even more people.
