Hello everyone, my name is Felix Cob and I am a 2nd-year chemistry major at the University of Ottawa. I’m an international student from Belize City, Belize. I am happy to announce that I will be participating in the CCO Belize mission this summer.

I joined CCO in my first semester after taking a survey in the UCU basement and I saw it as an opportunity to make friends and to strengthen my faith. Before joining CCO, I lived a lukewarm Catholic lifestyle and I wasn’t baptized. I lived my life based on my own rules and thinking that believing in God was all the effort I needed to be a good Catholic. I had Jesus in a distant part of my life. A few faith studies later I realized that this mentality is wrong and I began to put Jesus in the center of my life and in April 2019 I got baptized and confirmed in Ottawa.

Although I was beginning to solidify my faith, I was still afraid to profess it. This changed in February last year when the death of someone I went to high school with made me put complete docility into God. I told God that I may be his vessel for anything He needs if I can make a positive impact in my country. Months later I learned about the CCO mission to Belize and I knew instantly that is where I belong. Belize is my home and I know how desperately God’s love is needed in my community. I plan on going into this mission whole-heartedly with my goal to evangelize and save souls since that is the best gift I can give to my community.

Several students around Canada and I will be heading to Belize in May and I am asking for your support whether it may be financial donations or prayers for my mission. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you and God bless
