My Story
Hi my name is Gabriel Koch! I’m a second year student at UBC studying Food, Nutrition, and Health. I enjoy being outside, working out, cooking, and reading.
Above all, I enjoy hearing and sharing stories with other people. Conversations become especially meaningful and exciting when talking about the ways that Christ draws us closer to himself. For St. Paul writes, “all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). I love hearing and experiencing how God turns our weaknesses into ways that he draws us closer to him. Even the worst of days can be turned into the greatest of blessings.
Why do I want to be on Mission?
Being a part of CCO, I grew so much as a disciple and missionary of Christ. I found that as I served others as a faith study leader, I learned more about my faith and grew deeper in my relationship with Christ. I want to be on this mission to find Christ in new ways that I could not see before so that my life now may be even more full with Christ. Additionally, in my life I experienced the love Christ has for me and how it is never-ending and ever-growing. Life is so much more joyful and peaceful amidst the chaos. I want the same for the people I will be ministering to as well. I want to show them that life with Christ is unimaginably more free, peaceful, and joyful than ever before.
