Hello everyone!

My name is Joshua Terpstra and I am very excited to be embarking on the CCO Cameroon Mission this coming May. I am a second year student studying Psychology and Theatre at the University of Ottawa.
I grew up in a Catholic family, and this took a central role as a catalyst for my interest in faith. Through experiencing God’s personal love at a number of conferences and retreats, I fell in love with my faith. However, it wasn’t until university that I made the complete, adult decision to place Jesus Christ at the centre of my life.

Since giving my complete Yes, I have seen the transformation my life has taken in simply being docile to the Holy Spirit moving in my life. Not only have I had the opportunity to act as a leader on campus through faith studies, I have embarked on mission to Mexico City and have seen first-hand the importance of sharing Jesus with others. In Mexico, I was shown that as missionaries we are not only called to aid those in need, but to be proactively sharing our faith as spiritual first-responders in the lives of those that we meet. The Lord has truly blessed me with a genuine heart for mission, and a missionary zeal that I’m very excited to share with those that we encounter.

When I was encouraged to apply for Cameroon, I was excited about the prospect of going on another mission and serving the Lord once more in such a big way. Africa will be a new adventure, one that I am thoroughly excited to embark on. I’m excited to see the ways that the Lord will work both in my life and in the lives of those that we will encounter.

We have great expectations for Cameroon this year, and I so ask that not only you might support our mission through prayer, but also through a donation. Thank you for your support – you are a pivotal part of this mission.

God bless!
