My Story

Hi there! I’m Kateryn, but everybody calls me Kat. I’m a 19-year-old university student from Victoria, BC. I’m pursuing a psychology degree at the University of Victoria and hoping to be a future clinical psychologist. When I am not studying or leading faith studies on campus, you can find me hanging out with friends, journaling, or jamming to some music. I’m incredibly passionate about my faith and excited to share it with others through this incredible opportunity.

Why do I want to be on Mission?

I’m eager to participate in this years CCO Rome Mission because it combine my love for faith, service, and cultural exploration. This mission offers a unique chance to proclaim the Gospel and be a witness to the faith in the heart of the Catholic Church during the Jubilee Year of Hope. I’m drawn to the idea of engaging in spiritual conversations with people from around the world while experiencing the rich history and traditions of Rome. This mission will not only allow me to grow in my own relationship with Jesus but also equip me with valuable skills to share my faith more effectively when I return home. The prospect of being part of a global gathering of young adults, united in our mission to bring hope and the message of Christ to others, is truly inspiring and aligns perfectly with my desire to make a positive impact in the world.
