Hi! My name is Kenisha Alemao, and I am SO EXCITED to go on the Scotland Mission this year! I am currently in my first year at the University of Guelph, working towards a major in Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. It sounds more intense than it is, but then again, what do I know? I am only in my first year.

I have a very supportive and loving Catholic family, comprising of 2 parents, a 9 year old brother and an 18 month old sister. Personally, I enjoy learning new things(which is why I enjoy school so much!), taking on new adventures, and I love to sing and play piano! But most of all, I love bringing others to Jesus. There’s something profound about discovering Jesus’ love-you have discovered the secret of happiness, the key to everlasting joy and peace here on earth. And as for me, I can’t keep this secret to myself, I have to share it with others because I want them to be satisfied and loved just like I am!

Having this kind of relationship with God, letting Him love you and just offering everything up to Him is so relieving. And yes, relationships can be rocky, they cannot always be woven in clear, straight paths. But throughout my faith journey, I’m reminded time and time again of God’s infinite love for me, and how He calls me back every time I go astray. This past year, I had the privilege of attending Rise Up in Calgary and I didn’t expect anything profound. But God surprised me again, He called me to be a missionary.

Only problem, was where? And when? And how? And why me? Okay, this is more than one problem. But over a weekend retreat, I felt God’s call yet again, He placed Scotland in my heart. And I had to go this summer, as this was the only opportunity I’d ever get. Praise be to God! He makes His will known to us, and only He can pave our path.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could support me on this mission, any amount you can! You can also show support by praying for me on this mission. In return, I will be praying for you and your family, and thinking of you while I am on mission, as you are one of the many people who made it possible for me to go. Thank you, and God Bless!

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.

He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff-they comfort me”

-Psalm 23
