Kiandra C.

My name is Kiandra Christopher. I live in Martensville which is just outside Saskatoon, SK. I grew up Catholic but didn’t really understand what that meant until I was in grade 6. In the spring of that year, a friend invited me to a Catholic weekend retreat that changed my life. I fell in love with Jesus that weekend and have loved helping others fall in love with Him ever since! I enjoy volunteering at Catholic summer camps and various retreats. I love leading faith studies and small groups where I can see firsthand how God works in the lives of others. I am blessed to be part of the music ministry team at my parish. I also enjoy being in a worship band that leads others closer to Jesus during adoration.

I am currently in the second year of an Education degree. My dream is to teach high school Biology and Catholic studies! In my free time I love to do crafts of all kinds and bake treats for my family.
I love to sing and have just started learning to play guitar. If you see me out and about you may find me eating ice cream because that is my favorite treat of all time (and I think it should be yours too)!

Why do I want to be on Mission?

I applied to go on the Ireland mission because I yearn to share the Gospel with people. I don’t do this as often as I’d like in my daily life because it can sometimes be difficult to do with people I see regularly. On this mission, I know that evangelizing is my only goal and I am so excited to pour all my energy into sharing God’s love with others! I know that this mission will help me develop the courage I need to share the gospel more openly with the people in my life when I get back. It is such a gift to witness someone make the decision to place Jesus at the center of their life! I am so excited to reach out to people and help them fall in love with Jesus! I know that the Holy Spirit will be working hard to touch peoples’ hearts and I am so grateful and blessed to be part of this mission.
