Hello! My name is Krista and I just completed my degree at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in December 2018 with a major in Communication and a minor in Business. I serve in youth ministry at Christ the Redeemer Parish in West Vancouver, BC and have done so for over 6 years.

I grew up in a Catholic home where attending Mass most Sundays was part of our lives, but I didn’t truly claim my faith as my own until high school. My Grade 10 Religion teacher has been one of the most instrumental people in my faith journey, and his teachings around morality, philosophy, and theology changed the way I viewed the Catholic Church and my faith. His encouragement to start going to Mass every Sunday (because, he claimed, going every Sunday would eventually lead to a desire to go every Sunday) proved to be true, as did so much else he taught about the Church and Jesus. Since then, I have grown deeper in my faith and relationship with Jesus, especially through the sacraments and ministry.

Through Youth Ministry and CCO, I have come alive in my faith and desire to share it with others. At Rise Up 2018 in Calgary, I felt God calling me to apply for mission in Scotland and to trust that He would make it happen for me if He willed it. I am thrilled to be going to Aberdeen, Scotland to serve at St. Mary of the Assumption and help bring people to Jesus.

Your support of me on this mission financially and/or through prayer is greatly appreciated! Please pray for all of us going to Scotland and for those we will encounter there. Thank you in advance for your generosity and your prayers!

We lead evangelization missions around the world.
