My name is Liam Kischuck. I am Canadian but I grew up in Japan and then moved to Canada with my family when I was 19. I am currently completing my Masters in Physics at Toronto Metropolitan University. In my free time I love reading, running and dancing! During my high school years, I realized how much I lacked a sense of closeness with God, and that was when I started to work on building a real relationship with Jesus. Through fellowship from past Catholic youth groups and my experience at CCO, I have been able to grow in my faith, as well as deepen my understanding of God’s loving plan for all of us.
Why do I want to be on Mission?
Learning more about my faith has led me to want to share with others, the same experience of love and peace that I received from God. I would not be where I am today, without the people who have reached out to me and helped me to understand how to live the way Jesus wants us to live. I also really enjoyed my past experiences of campus outreach, where I was able to share the message of Jesus’ loving plan for all of us. At first I was nervous about going up to people whom I had never met before and to start talking about Jesus, but I found that the response from other students was often very positive. I also discovered that sharing the gospel with others greatly strengthened my own faith. I believe this mission will touch the hearts of many young people who will be attending the WYD. I really appreciate any donations that you can give for this cause, and I ask for your prayers for all of us going on this mission!
