Mary U.

Hi! My name is Mary, I’m currently in my second year of Environmenal Science at the Univerisity of Calgary. I’m from a small town in Alberta, called Vermilion, and moved to Calgary last year for university. I grew up in a Catholic family, and I’m the youngest of three siblings. I love reading (I’ve always been a a bit of a bookworm) and music, and I’m super excited to go on mission to Malta this summer!

Why do I want to be on Mission?

Since coming to U of C, I have found a really awesome Catholic young adult community. I knew I wanted to grow more in my faith, but I really wasn’t sure how to do that. Being part of CCO has helped me so much, and I would love to help others the way I was. Going on mission Malta, I will be able to share the joy and peace that I have found in God. Through the faith studies and formation events I’ve been too, I’ve learned about how important it is to be able to share your faith, and to meet people where they’re at and invite them to learn more about Christianity and about God.
