Hello friends! My name is Mikaela Therese Dickison, and “by the grace of God, I am what I am” – 1 Cor. 15:10. And who I am is a people-lovin’, sports-playin’, sunset-appreciatin’, flower-sniffin’, praise-and-worshippin’ daughter of our most beloved Father God. I am in my third year of Commerce at Queen’s University, and both came to know CCO and fall in love with the Catholic Church on this beautiful campus, located in my hometown of Kingston, ON. I was born and baptized Catholic, and grew up knowing that God loved me. However, aside from what my parents encouraged (thank you Mom and Dad), faith was not a priority for me which led me to run instead towards other things.

During grade 11, the Lord started to show me that He is the only One worth chasing after. Since then, He has captivated me entirely with Himself, and I have come to know God as Father, Saviour, and Friend. Over the last few years through this relationship with Christ, I have fallen in love with His Catholic Church; a love sparked by witnessing others passionately living out their faith. I encountered CCO through Newman House while attending an adoration night at the end of my grade 12 year. Since then, I have been blessed and shaped by this incredible community, which has quickly become an incredible spiritual family.

I am humbled by the opportunity to be a vessel through which the Father chooses to encounter His children in Honduras, and to join as a labourer in this harvest that CCO has already been cultivating! As I mentioned before, I love people and getting to know every heart, and am very eager to create connections with both my fellow servants on mission and those we meet in Honduras as we share our love for Christ with others. I hope to gain skills and experience sharing Jesus in Honduras that I can also bring back to Queen’s and the mission on campus. Through this mission, I pray the Lord may truly open all of our hearts to be pierced akin to the heart of Mary in order to further understand His desire and thirst for souls to come to Him. I am excited to follow where the Holy Spirit leads in each moment to help our brothers and sisters in Honduras come to know Christ, as well as to help us all gain a deeper knowledge of His love.

Thank you for considering partnering with me in this mission, through your donations and prayers. You will truly be accompanying me to Honduras through your support, and are in my prayers as well 🙂 May God bless you!
