My name is Nick. I’m just wrapping up my studies in Biomedical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. I am super excited to be going on a mission trip with CCO to Halifax this summer. I was raised Catholic and took a lot of it for granted, oftentimes not realizing how much I was benefitting from the community around me and the love I was able to give and receive. I stepped away from my faith for 6 years slowly but surely as I moved out after highschool, and tried to do the whole life game on my own. I know God was always there waiting for my Yes, but my pride and selfishness kept me from acknowledging Him.
Why do I want to be on Mission?
Since coming back to school at UBC, getting involved with CCO, taking Discovery, and inviting Jesus back into my life, I feel like my life has completely changed. I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am to those who accompanied me on my journey back to a relationship with Jesus. I have felt called to do the same for others and dive deeper into my faith. Me going on this mission is just me trying to continue to give my ‘Yes’ to God as much as possible. I am excited to intentionally walk with others during this trip and share my story along the way!
