Hi! My name is Nicole and I’m a fourth year Psychology and Linguistics student at Simon Fraser University. I currently work as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, working with children who have autism to improve their communication skills and ultimately to protect their dignity and love them for the unique little humans that they are!

I’m a cradle Catholic, but in grade 11 I decided that God didn’t love me because He allowed me to experience so much intense physical and emotional suffering. It wasn’t until my first year of university that I began to realize this wasn’t true. I encountered the goodness of God at World Youth Day in Poland in 2016 and ever since then I’ve never looked back.

Once I had allowed God to fill me with His love and knew how GOOD He is, I couldn’t help but share this with other people! I became very involved in my Parish’s youth ministry and Parish Religious Education Program.

I met CCO in Fall 2017 when I was seeking Catholic community as a new transfer student. I quickly fell in love with the vibrant community at SFU, and CCO changed me into the person I am today, because while I had a relationship with Jesus before meeting CCO, it was CCO that helped me to realize my missionary heart. I now serve as a student executive member leading my fellow students on campus as we reach out to those who do not know God, lead faith studies, and build friendships that bring us all closer to God. It’s crazy for me to look back on the past few years of my life to see how far God has brought me.

I’m so excited that God has chosen me to work through on this mission! I’m beyond thrilled to be an instrument in God’s hands to bring others to Him and pass on the mission to those we encounter in New York. I know this mission will help me to be a better missionary at home, especially as I prepare to enter a new stage of my life as I finish up my undergrad.

Thank you for reading this. I will be praying for you. I ask that you would keep me and those people we will encounter on this mission in your prayers, and I ask that you would prayerfully consider supporting this mission financially. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

May God bless you and keep you.
