Hi there!

My name is Nolan, and I am a third-year university student at uOttawa studying a joint honours in Political Science and History. I attend St. Isaac Jogues in the Pickering, Ontario, and St. Clements parish in Ottawa. I work on Parliament Hill, have a blog, and have been involved in evangelization in many unique and amazing ways over most of my life.

To know me simply however, means two things. Firstly, to know Him whom I love and serve, namely, Jesus Christ. Secondly, it means knowing I love people, and I desire everyone to come to know, love, and serve an objective Goodness, Beauty, and Truth. God willing, I will be able to carry this deep love for Christ and zeal for souls into Cameroon come May of this year.

I went on CCO mission to Ireland in 2017, and it was there that my missionary identity was ignited, and a passion for evangelization truly cultivated. I was a Totus Tuus missionary during 2018, catechizing and evangelizing to Catholic youth in the Archdiocese of Toronto. I currently lead faith studies at the University of Ottawa, and its here that my desire for mission is continually formed and sharpened.

There are many reasons why I am going to Cameroon, but put quite simply, there are men and women, priests and laity, that desire the Gospel to be shared there as it is shared here in Canada. Through prayer and providence, it has been made clear that I am called to Cameroon in what I have to offer through my skills, my experience, and ultimately my own self as an instrument of our Lord and His Church.

I had originally not planned to go to Cameroon, and to be honest, it was something that I did not want to do. I had job prospects, a break from school, time with friends and various other things that I used as excuse to dismiss a call to mission. Thankfully though, the Lord has a great sense of humour, and everything lined up and lead to Christ asking me very clearly to follow Him, to proclaim the Gospel clearly and simply, despite fears of support raising and time away from my home, a home that I know would be very comfortable. Beautifully put however, as Pope-Emeritus Benedict XVI says: “…you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness!”.

Christ invited me to this mission, and now I invite you to help make this mission possible. Through intercessory prayers, or monetary support, I need your charity to help make this endeavor a reality.

I invite you to participate in the renewal of the world in supporting me here and now.

“So we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us…” (2 Corinthians 5:20)

Let us be extraordinary ambassadors of the only Truth.

In Christ,

We lead evangelization missions around the world.
