Hi 🙂 I am the fourth child in a family of nine. My favourite day of the year is Christmas evening when my family must move our dining room table into the living room, put an extension on it, and hunt down all the spare chairs in the house so that we can all fit around it! I am forever grateful to my parents who showed me by their example what a life lived in relationship with Jesus looks like – filled with smiles and laughs and challenges and the desire to see everything in life with purpose and hope.

I taught myself guitar and find a lot of joy in music. I feel the most alive when I am running at night at the track. My happy spot involves a sofa, tea, and a book. I am so grateful for my three closest friends I’ve grown up with through grade school – we’re all so different but are united by our faith in Jesus and many shared memories. My boyfriend is a God-send for me: he pushes me on the track, in my intellectual and spiritual life, in Mario Kart Wii, and he will make a fool of himself to make me laugh.

This past year I have led two CCO faith studies with a small group of students. I have never felt and seen the Holy Spirit work as he has in my faith study participants and in myself as their leader. I am just an instrument – with a really good musician playing me!

I am in my final year at the University of Victoria, studying history and journalism. I chose to study these subjects because I love to read history, to travel and to write, but moreover because I want to spend my life searching for the truth and to show that truth to others. A lesson I learnt from my Grandfather: there is a Truth out there and it’s worth spending our lives searching for it.

I know this mission trip to Cameroon – my first ever mission trip abroad – will be a step in seeking and sharing this Truth in Jesus Christ.

We lead evangelization missions around the world.
