My Story

My name is Prince Kafeke, and I currently live in Calgary, Alberta. I am in my final year at the University of Calgary, majoring in Economics as part of the honors program, and I will be starting my Master’s in Economics this fall. My academic journey has played a huge part in shaping me, but even more importantly, my personal journey has been transformed by my faith in Jesus Christ.

Though I grew up with some exposure to Christianity, I never truly understood what it meant to have a relationship with Christ. During my time in university, I pursued a lifestyle of instant gratification believing that this was the key to happiness. However, this ultimately left me feeling empty and unfulfilled. Through the grace of God, I encountered Jesus in a powerful way, realizing that my identity was not in worldly pleasures but in Him. Since then, my life has been centered on deepening my faith, growing in community, and sharing the love of Christ with others.

Why do I want to be on Mission?

I want to be part of this mission to Malta because I know firsthand the power of encountering Christ, and I want to help others experience the same transformation. Before coming to faith, I thought I was living a good life, but I was unknowingly searching for meaning in things that could never truly satisfy me. It wasn’t until I fully surrendered to Jesus that I found true joy and purpose.

This mission is an opportunity to bring the message of Christ’s love and redemption to people who may be searching, just as I once was. I believe that sharing my testimony and walking alongside others in their faith journey can make a real impact. I am excited to serve, to grow, and to witness how God moves in the lives of those we will encounter in Malta. Through this mission, I hope to live out the call to discipleship and help others find the fulfillment that only Jesus can provide.
