Rosa M

Hi! My name is Rosa and I am a 3rd year economics and political science student at the University of Ottawa. I am from Spain but due to my father’s job I have lived in many countries, including Canada. Now I live in Ottawa with my family and I have discovered a culture that I am very passionate about.
I’m someone with many interests, I love learning and spending time with my family and friends. I also have a deep appreciation for nature, fashion, sport and culture.
I was blessed to grow up in a wonderful Catholic family. However, despite attending Mass and Sunday school every week, my faith wasn’t truly my own. In high school, I went through a difficult time, allowing others to define me. I felt empty and lost. Yet, in my suffering, I encountered God and came to understand His love. It wasn’t until college, when I joined CCO, that I fully grasped what it meant for Jesus to have given His life for me. That realization led me to make a firm decision—to place Him at the center of my life and never turn back.
What a joy and comfort it is to know that we are never alone, that there is Someone who sees us for who we truly are and has a perfect plan for us!

Why do I want to be on Mission?

Jesus completely transformed my life. The change was so profound that people around me couldn’t help but notice and ask what had happened. From the very beginning, I felt an immense joy in sharing Him with others.
That desire has only grown stronger over time, and going on this mission is a significant step forward in my journey. It’s an opportunity to live out my faith more fully and help others encounter the same love and joy that changed my life.
Coming from a European country, I know that faith is far from being lost, but many people have drifted away or struggle to see its relevance in their daily lives. Our goal is with his Help, to encourage people to open their hearts to God and say yes to living a full life.
