Hi! My name is Rylan, and I am currently finishing my third year of an agriculture degree at the University of Saskatchewan. I live in Saskatoon, but over the summer I live at home doing ag research for my summer job and also help out on my parent’s farm.

In my limited free time, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, exercising and the outdoors (I love cardio and picking wild mushrooms), and small wholesome things like reading, puzzles, or a cup of coffee.

Why do I want to be on Mission?

I have often marveled at the tremendous actions, persecutions, and even martyrdom that the apostles undertook to spread the good news of Christ, as described in the book of Acts. As a Christian, I try live my daily life following where the Holy Spirit is leading me; loving and serving others, living by example, growing in holiness, and spreading the good news. Yet, whenever I ponder the lives of the apostles, I wonder, “what other great things can I do for God?”

Luke 9:23 “If anyone wish to come after me, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”

From hearing the stories of others and the promptings of the Lord in prayer, now is a wonderful opportunity to embrace the thrill of what it means to be a disciple; stepping into the unknown of mission and trusting God. I am very excited to see how the Lord will work in my life and in the life of others by going on this mission.
