Hello beautiful people! I’m Tesa, and I’m at the tail end of my undergrad in Accounting at the University of Ottawa. I love Jesus, cats, and sun rises (in that particular order as well). I’m the eldest of two (not so little) sisters, and daughter of two wonderful parents, who are all back in the small town of Pembroke.

This May, I’m headed out to Scotland where we’ll be implementing Catholic Christian Outreach’s (CCO) evangelistic materials in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral in Aberdeen. I’m so excited to be a part of this mission because these materials will help in guiding people to personal encounters with Christ, allow them to choose to place Him at the centre of their lives, and assist in the creation of strong leaders in the mission of the New Evangelization. I have personally experienced, and witnessed, the conversions that have come about as a result of these materials that we are bringing, including the Ultimate Relationship booklet and small group faith studies, which proclaim the Gospel message clearly and simply.

The summer after my first year of university, I went on the CCO 2016 mission to World Youth Day, Poland. It was on this mission that I made the decision to put Christ at the centre of my life. I was powerfully called into something greater than this world could ever offer – a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through the CCO faith studies that I participated in on campus, I discovered that choosing Jesus wasn’t some complicated procedure, but instead a simple choice to surrender my heart to Him. It was on this trip that opened my heart to this truth and ran back into Jesus’ open arms like the prodigal son to his father (Luke 15:11-32). Since this moment I have had the desire to lead others to our loving Christ, which has led me to being happily involved with CCO on campus as a student leader for the past three years! The ways in which I have been able to bring Christ into others’ lives, as well as all the ways in which other students have forever touched my own life, has made my time here in university a beautiful, wonderful adventure.

I am incredibly blessed to have been called to mission in my first year of university and that here I am, again, going on mission at the completion of my undergrad. I know that the mission of proclaiming Christ doesn’t end when I’m done on campus, or even when I get back from Scotland, but is something that I commit to boldly living out every day for the rest of my life. I am excited for the adventure, the opportunities to share Christ and also see Him work in my life, to witness conversions and build others into missionary disciples, and to also develop my own missionary capabilities that I will be bringing back to our home, Canada!

I truly appreciate both your support and prayers for myself, my team, and the legacy our team will leave in Scotland!

We lead evangelization missions around the world.
