My name is Veronika Wojcik and I am a third year student at the University of Calgary, where I have lived all of my life. I am currently studying Biomedical Engineering with the desire of working in the field of Tissue and Biomaterials Engineering, or potentially pursuing medical school. Aside from school, I volunteer at Foothills Hospital once a week and I also teach piano as my part-time job. Some of my passions/hobbies in life are travelling, playing the piano, and drawing.
Why do I want to be on Mission?
I wanted to go on this mission trip as it has always been my goal to attend a World Youth Day. I’ve attended “Mladifest” in 2018 which is a Christian youth festival in the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this is where I truly reconnected with God and my faith in general. Since then, I’ve always wanted to experience this kind of atmosphere again, and this mission trip is the perfect opportunity to not only strengthen my relationship with God even more, but to also spread His word. Through the evangelization that we will be doing during the trip, I can share the beautiful experiences that brought me back to my faith and how Jesus became the rock in my life.
