Hi everyone! My name is Victoria. I’m a fourth year university student, doing a major in Marine Biology. I’m from Honduras and moved to St. John’s, NL in 2020 which is when I became involved with CCO at MUN. This past year, I have had the joy of serving on our student exec team. Whenever I’m not hanging out on campus, I enjoy photography, scuba diving, and coffee (especially with my family or friends). Moving abroad, I thought the only reason for which I came to Canada was to pursue my degree, but I had no clue of everything the Lord had in store for me. Although I grew up in the Catholic faith, it wasn’t until I got involved in CCO that I embraced the richness of our faith and a personal relationship with Jesus. I was drawn by the joy and authenticity of other young Catholic adults who knew their identities as beloved children of God.
Why do I want to be on Mission?
The CCO family has taught me how to share my love for Jesus with others. As a leader in our community I’ve had the great opportunity to witness the ways in which He changes lives. This brings me an indescribable joy.
I can’t wait to entrust what I’ve learned as a leader in CCO to other university students in Uganda to equip them to proclaim the gospel and build up multiplying missionary disciples.
