I had the unique experience of encountering Christ strongly at a young age. Foolishly, selfishly, I ignored that offered love and went out to make my own way in the world; making many poor decisions along the way. In my second year at the University of Victoria, CCO expanded onto the campus and I immediately experienced the joyful challenge to life of personal relationship with Jesus. Just before my fifth and final year of undergrad, I made the decision to seek out God’s offered mercy and forgiveness and to place Jesus at the centre of my life.
Through the support of faithful Catholics, especially men involved with CCO, I continued to strive to live a Christ centred life each day. I was convicted by the truth of the Gospel, overwhelmed by the beauty of Christ’s saving love, and inspired by the goodness of His saints and witnesses. Throughout my master’s degree at McMaster University and my year working for Health Canada, I loved to stay active in sharing my faith with others and in fostering community among Catholic men. But I felt called to live a more radical response to the missionary call of the Gospel.
I am incredibly excited to be joining CCO as a Headstart campus missionary. It is my hope and prayer that God will use me to invite others into a personal relationship with Jesus and that I can challenge young men in particular to recognize and respond to the great and full life that Christ offers through and in Himself.
ONGOING PRAYER REQUESTS
