I am proudly Polish-Canadian with with one older and one younger sister. Because of my heritage my whole family is very Catholic. Growing up my family did a lot of things in the Church: we’d go to Mass every Sunday, we’d go to Parish events and retreats, and we’d even go to Adoration every week together and pray there as a family. However, I never really made my faith my own.

I first encountered CCO in my third year of university. A friend from church asked me if I’d be interested in taking a faith study. I said sure, why not! From that point on, I got involved with CCO, but only on a superficial level. It wasn’t until my fourth year, when I was challenged to lead a faith study, that things began to change for me. By accepting this challenge, I really grew in my faith, made it my own, and truly understood what it meant to have a personal relationship with God.

From that God completely threw all my plans up in the air and I felt the call to become a missionary for CCO. With the help of other missionaries, I realized and accepted that call from God. I’ll be serving as a campus missionary in Calgary, AB, at Mount Royal University (MRU).

As a campus missionary, I have the privilege of being with students and helping them grow in their faith, just as I did as a student. Having seen the life changing impact that CCO has had on other students, as well as myself, has truly been an amazing gift, and I’m very excited to have the chance to do the great work that CCO does on universities across Canada.

One of the highlights of my time with CCO had been seeing young students accept Jesus’ call to have a personal relationship with them and acting on it. Seeing students taking the initiative to hold each other accountable as well as help each other grow in their faith has really been an inspiration for me.

Please pray for my family and everyone involved with CCO.

Please also pray for me and all the students I will encounter at MRU.
