This year Anna and I will celebrate our 8th wedding Anniversary. Our 3 little ones keep us busy.

I first encountered the presence of God in childhood. During high school and university, I gradually withdrew from the Lord. But, after graduation, in a moment of desperation borne out of suffering, I repented and surrendered everything to His Name. It has been about 11 years since I put Jesus back at the centre of my life, and there is no greater adventure than living radically in the Providence of God!

I am currently serving in my second year as Associate Regional Director, having recently completed my 10th year as a CCO missionary—time flies! Every year brings new highlights, and one of the most recent was a visit to Trent University, our new expansion campus in Peterborough Ontario. We met with the Catholic chaplain and leaders of the Catholic student club, cleverly called “The Catholic Council of Trent.” We are very excited to be working with such an enthusiastic group of dynamic missionary disciples of Jesus.

One of the most amazing things I’ve seen as a missionary is the number of young people who want to become Catholic. Being a cradle Catholic myself, conversion to our faith has always been a curiosity for me. But it’s been one of the ways God has proven to me over and over that he is real, and that he is calling people to himself. Over the past decade, I’ve stood with a number of young men who’ve chosen to enter the Catholic Church.

Being a full-time missionary has allowed me to discover and activate my strengths. It has also forced me to confront my weaknesses. Above all, God has helped me desire personal excellence in my life of faith and mission, and to work toward it each day—even if my success is only incremental!
