I grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, as the middle of three children. While I was raised Catholic, I never developed a faith that was my own – I never had a personal relationship with Jesus. I always identified as Catholic, but wasn’t living it out. I had drifted from my faith and had convinced myself that my life was too busy, or that I could handle the challenges of my life on my own. I got involved with CCO at the University of Saskatchewan after a powerful conversion experience that instilled in my heart the desire to pursue God.
In the summer of 2016, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Krakow, Poland, for World Youth Day with CCO. That summer was a time of conviction in my life that allowed me to put Christ in the centre of my life. My desire to truly live my life for Christ led me to apply to work for CCO as a campus missionary. Here, I’ll have the opportunity to work with university students to build the same community that welcomed me and helped me to grow in my faith.
This year I will be joining the team of missionaries at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland, working alongside Eric Filion and Mary-Claire Hoffman. Going to this city is an exciting new opportunity for me, to see and experience the rich beauty and diverse culture of Canada while pursuing God.
ONGOING PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for me that I may grow deeper in my relationship with God to follow and to serve Him, for God’s providence in my support raising, for the students I will reach at Memorial University, and all the CCO staff in their missionary efforts.
