I grew up with my mom and dad, two little brothers, and a dog in Ottawa. Right now I live with some awesome women in a household in Ottawa and am preparing for marriage to my fiancé, Mike.

I had my conversion at 16 in a field during a Delirious? concert. I was getting prayed over and in my heart I prayed, “God, if you’re real, show me.” It was then that I knew God’s love was real and personal. My life has never been the same since! God has allowed me so many opportunities to serve him across Canada and Australia. The closer I got to graduating University, the more I realized that a conventional job was not for me. I am so blessed that I am able to do what I love, and work for the conversion of souls at the same time!

My role in CCO is in HQ, as part of the Communication and New Media team. Technology is a means that can be used to spread the Good News. I might not be working with students on campus, but I am able to connect with students, supporters, fellow missionaries, and hear and share stories of God’s power from around the country.

“Unless the Good News is made known also in the digital world, it may be absent in the experience of many people for whom this existential space is important. The digital environment is not a parallel or purely virtual world, but is part of the daily experience of many people, especially the young.”

– Pope Benedict XVI, Message for the 47th World Communications Day

Despite not leading a faith study on campus, I know that I have a distinct role in making them happen. As the store manager, I help distribute our materials. I have come to know many names and voices because they are often calling to order more studies! I have heard how many of their participants are opening their hearts to Christ and how their own personal relationship with God is growing. What a blessing!

I’ve learned how to depend on God more.

“Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” (Matt 6:33-34)
