Heading into by first year of university, I experienced the Christ’s radical love for me that changed the trajectory of my life. In a Steubenville conference, I said yes to Christ for the first time. Before this, I often went through the motions of my faith, but ultimately I pushed God to the side to measure up to what I thought might get people’s attention. I over worked myself to please the people around me, but inside I was empty. However, on July 16th, 2016 I committed to living a relationship with Christ that slowly broke down the walls I was holding up against the people in my life, and God Himself. I realized that I no longer had to strive to be loved by the people around me, because I was seen, known and loved by Jesus already.
As a response to this encounter with Christ, I became involved with my campus ministry at the University of Guelph. Eventually, in my second year of university I met CCO at their annual Rise Up conference. Over the years, CCO has been a catalyst in developing my identity as a missionary, and growing in my relationship with Christ.
CCO has made a profound impact on my life as a student, so I am so excited to be working for them full-time! As a Campus Missionary, I will be on the front lines of bringing the transformative love of Christ to university students at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. I believe that God has placed me strategically and I will be playing an essential role at creating leaders equipped with the Gospel that will go to impact their communities, parishes, families, and friends across Vancouver, Canada and internationally.
ONGOING PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray that great missionary disciples will be raised up from UBC as a response to the deep understanding that they are seen, known and treasured by God.
