I grew up in Markham, Ontario with two loving parents and two older sisters. Because my sisters and I were born so far a part, I only got close to them as I got older. I was involved with my faith mainly because I viewed going to church as important. At my earliest opportunity (when I started university), I took advantage of the freedom available to me and stopped going to church.

While attending Ryerson University, I was asked by a CCO missionary to participate in a faith study. I did everything possible to avoid her because I was not ready to hear the Gospel. I wanted her to give up on me, because I didn’t think I was worth anyone’s time. Thanks to the love and support of many friends I came to give my YES to Jesus. Over time I came to realize how God had answered the deep questions of my heart.

Throughout my final year of university, I started to get more involved with CCO and I started to see how I could do the work of CCO full time. Doing the application made me realize how much I desired to reach out to the lost, just as someone has reached out to me. Under a tight time crunch, I was able to study for exams and apply for staff.

I will be moving (for the first time in my life) to serve with CCO in Halifax at St. Mary’s University and Dalhousie University. I’ve never left the GTA but I’m excited to see what God has in store for me and my ministry!
