My name is Lukas and I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Gabriela. We now have a baby boy named Kasjan! He was born in August 2020.
Growing up, my relationship with God was not always as strong as it is now. I started out unsure of how to approach God and was living a life without any direction or sense of purpose. Through meeting a CCO missionary on my campus, I came to understand that Jesus died for me, that God has a plan for me, and that there’s a purpose to my life. In response to this newfound purpose, I was baptized and entered into the Catholic Church on Easter of 2016. My hope is that my experience will help other students experience the love of Jesus, and find a real purpose for their lives as well.
In Gabriela’s words: “Though I grew up Catholic, my faith was really ignited in 2017 after taking a CCO faith study on my campus. There I discovered that a personal relationship with Jesus is possible, and so easily attainable! I love working as a missionary to help students encounter Jesus in a personal way, every day!”
There’s nothing we’d rather do with our life than to reach people with the message of the Gospel and to invite them into the mission of proclaiming this Gospel to the world.
Gabriela, Kasjan and I have recently moved to Kingston, Ontario, to join the CCO team at Queen’s University! I am very excited to meet and to work with my new team, the student executive, and the University Chaplain, Father Raymond de Souza, to proclaim Christ and invite people to have Him at the centre of their lives.
ONGOING PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for all of the students at Queen’s, especially the ones furthest away from Jesus. We would also be thankful for prayers as our little family settles here in Kingston.
