My Catholic faith has always been a part of my life, but it wasn’t until I attended a Catholic youth conference at the age of 17 that I realized just how much Jesus loved me personally. My experience at this conference changed me profoundly, and I realized not only that the Lord had an amazing plan for my life, but also that the Church was ALIVE and full of hope. I knew that I wanted to do everything I could to show the world the beauty and joy that life with Christ can offer them.
I first experienced CCO when I moved away to university and met a former CCO missionary who helped me realize that I was capable of proclaiming the Gospel clearly and simply. Because of her investment in my life, I began to understand CCO’s vision: that the renewal of the world is possible, and that it starts one person at a time. Putting my faith into action as a student by leading CCO’s faith studies, I saw God changing the lives of my friends and peers, and I knew that He wanted to continue to reach others through me if I would just give him my “yes”. During these very formative years of my life, God made it abundantly clear that He was calling me to join CCO staff full-time.
My Mission
Becoming a campus missionary has given me the immeasurable privilege of being the hands and feet of Jesus on our campuses. Through my time on campus, I have discovered that there is no other more meaningful work I could ever do with my life. Every day I get to see our students grow closer to God and become the men and women He is calling them to be. Nothing makes me more joyful than leading others to a personal encounter with Jesus. Please pray for my team at Dalhousie University, and that each and every student we encounter on campus will experience God’s personal love for them.
