The first time I felt Jesus was real was at a weekend retreat. Walking into the chapel, I experienced a peace I had never felt before. Soon afterwards I began a personal prayer life, but praying, attending mass and reading the Bible, though I enjoyed these activities, felt like items checked off a list.
My perspective shifted when I took CCO’s Discovery faith study. During a one-on-one meeting with my faith study leader, I intentionally committed my life to Christ. I realized that even if I failed to do everything I felt was expected of me, God would love me just as much. Having spent several years feeling as though I had to earn God’s love, it was eye-opening to see that all Jesus asks of us is a commitment to walking with Him because His sacrifice is the only reason we can choose heaven. God delights in us spending time with Him, but our commitment counts more than the list of things we do.
My Mission
Sharing the Gospel invites others into the enduring joy and fulfillment God gives, a joy that I personally experience. In serving as a missionary, I have the privilege of introducing individuals to Jesus and walking with them as they grow to know Him. I am humbled and honoured to be a vessel by which young adults learn of God’s personal love for each one of them.
