“Just as in Jonas’ time, so too today may we commit ourselves to conversion; may we be signs lighting the way and announcing salvation. This time for conversion, this time for salvation, is the time for mercy. ” — Pope Francis, Homily in Mexico, Feb. 2016

Did you know that close to half of the world’s Catholics are Spanish speaking? Mexico City, with an estimated population of over 30,000,000 people, is one of the largest concentrations of humanity in the world, and the world’s largest Spanish-speaking city. Can you think of a better place to unleash the Gospel? It is here that Our Lady chose to appear, and here that Our Lady of Guadalupe has been named the Star of the New Evangelization.

Join CCO for a three week mission to Mexico City. We will be partnering with youth and leaders of young adult movements from across the Archdiocese. We will be proclaiming Jesus clearly and simply through the use of CCO’s Discovery faith study, and then equipping these young leaders to do the same. We believe that the activation of these key leaders will have a huge impact on the church in Mexico City, and the entire country.

And finally, a highlight of any CCO mission to Mexico is the time we get to spend on pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

We believe that your time in Mexico will be life-changing as you live in authentic Christian community, experience the universal Church and gain skills that are going to equip you to be leaders on campus, in your parishes, and in your families.

If you’re a Spanish speaker, we strongly encourage you to consider applying to CCO’s mission to Mexico. Although Spanish is an asset, it’s not mandatory in order to be accepted.

Please note that we aim to communicate with your about your acceptance no later than 3 weeks after the January 31, 2022 application deadline. However, sometimes delays can occur.
