I found so much peace in who I am, knowing that I am a child of God. (Katelyne)

Our goal for the 2019 Founders’ Appeal is to raise $75,000 to support CCO’s work of evangelization. Will you help us reach it?

We would like to invite you to consider making a gift in support of this vital mission. A generous benefactor has pledged to match every dollar raised, up to $30,000. This means that your gift will have twice the impact!

We are grateful to be able to share Katelyne’s story with you. The more missionaries you help send to our university campuses, the more students we can reach. By making a gift, you will help CCO attract and retain excellent, Christ-centred labourers like Katelyne, and raise up leaders on campus for the renewal of the world. Together, this mission will be accomplished. Please join us!

Katelyne’s faith was barely existent when she started attending university. God was not a priority for her and she looked for meaning and purpose away from the Church.

Katelyne met a CCO missionary during a CCO Fall retreat. She saw that her new friend had a joy that she wanted for her own life. Through their friendship, Katelyne became open to Jesus and began to want to know Him better.

Katelyne decided to go to Rise Up, CCO’s national conference. One of the guest speakers invited the participants to put Christ at the centre of their lives in prayer. Katelyne felt moved to do so herself. As she prayed, Katelyne experienced God’s love and placed Christ at the centre of her life. When asked about her encounter that day, she says, “I found so much peace in who I am, knowing that I am a child of God. It brought so much peace and freedom to my life, more than I could have ever imagined for myself.” Her newfound relationship with Jesus changed her life.

With her faith reignited, Katelyne grew in her desire to share it with other people. It wasn’t enough for Katelyne to lead CCO faith studies, she wanted to share the Gospel with everyone. She began telling her coworkers and peers about her love for Jesus. Kateylne shares, “CCO has changed my life in a huge way so I want to be able to do the same for other young people.” The joy, peace and freedom that Katelyne found in God was too much to keep to herself.

Katelyne has decided to give the next few years of her life to proclaiming the Gospel full-time as a CCO missionary. Katelyne knows the impact one CCO missionary can have on the lives of students and she wants to do the same.
