Rise Up 2024 will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Calgary, Alberta from December 29th, 2024 till January 1st, 2025.

Rise Up 2024 is open to young adults, aged 18-35. This includes college students, young professionals, and university chaplains who are seeking to deepen their faith, engage in discussions about vocational discernment, and connect with peers who share similar values and beliefs. You don’t have to be part of CCO or have taken part in a faith study or ministry activities to attend.
Every event pass includes:

  • 1 meal each full day of the conference
  • Entrance to all keynote sessions with engaging Catholic speakers
  • Workshop sessions on how to grow in your faith life practically
  • Conference resources and access to our discounted hotel room block
  • Access to vendors and exhibitors
  • A unique encounter with Jesus Christ and the Church across Canada in the sacraments
  • Live Praise and Worship sessions
  • A memorable New Year’s Eve Banquet
    • Access to conference, swag bags, banquet dinner

 

The event pass includes 2 brunches (December 30th and January 1st), as well as a banquet dinner (December 31st)

Rise Up 2024 begins at 7:30 pm on Sunday, December 29th and ends at around noon on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. We strongly recommend arriving early on December 29th to ensure you have enough time to settle into your accommodations, check into the event, and grab dinner before the conference kickoff. Registration will be open starting at 3:30 pm on December 29th.

Yes! Not only are you welcome, but even if you were never a university student, we are, right now, developing the conference to better cater to young adults who are beyond the university campus as well. We encourage you to join us for exclusive features that will introduce you to other individuals beyond campus and our very own Rise Up alumni staff team.

Yes, we’d love to have you! We encourage you to bring your students with you to experience all that the conference has to offer!

For security reasons, everyone (including children) will need an event pass. As a private event, you must purchase an event pass to participate in any portion of the conference. Individual session passes can be purchased online until December 29th at cco.ca/riseup.

Yes, you can! Event passes for specific days of Rise Up will be available for purchase starting on November 16th. The price of these passes will be announced this fall.

Feel free to use this packing list as a guide. Don’t forget to bring essential items (medications, IDs, etc.)

Students who attend a CCO campus (either through Connect or staffed with missionaries) are eligible to fundraise for Rise Up. You are allowed to fundraise money to cover your travel expenses (train/airfare), event pass, and accommodations. If you are hoping to reimburse your accommodations, the following criteria must be met:

  • The accommodation is only for yourself and other Rise Up participants of the same gender from CCO campuses
  • The names of those who are staying at the accommodation must be submitted as a part of the reimbursement to verify the point above.

If you registered for the wrong item, you can access your registration history through your confirmation email and revise your order. Alternatively, you can email riseup@cco.ca for assistance with revising your order.

No. The conference is geared towards attendees who are young adults (18 – 35).

University students on CCO Campuses who are under the age of 18 at the time of the conference are permitted to attend. If you’d like to attend but don’t meet this requirement, please email riseup@cco.ca .

Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email that you should be able to use to review your registration at a later time. You will have to access your registration in order to pay the remaining balance for the conference.

Sometimes confirmation emails will wind up in junk folders. Please make sure to check yours. If it isn’t there, send an email to riseup@cco.ca to check on the status of your registration.

Unfortunately, standard Queen rooms are now sold out at the Hyatt Calgary. We have now reserved 6 standard double rooms at Le Germain (3 min walk from the Hyatt residency Hotel).  Le Germain is offering a guest room rate of $159 (plus tax) per night for all Rise Up 2024 attendees. The guest rooms contain two double beds. Your hotel costs will depend on how many people you choose to share the room with. The maximum occupancy allowed in the hotel is four persons per room.

Absolutely! You will be given a link for booking guest rooms at The Hyatt Regency Calgary as part of your registration confirmation e-mail.

You can reserve rooms with The Hyatt Regency Calgary directly (or other hotels you choose). You can reserve a room without paying for it, as you will be asked to pay for the room upon your departure from the conference.

The Hyatt Regency Calgary is offering a guest room rate of $119 (plus tax) per night for all Rise Up 2024 attendees. The guest rooms contain two queen beds. Your hotel costs will depend on how many people you choose to share the room with. The maximum occupancy allowed in the hotel is four persons per room.

You can reserve hotel rooms at The Hyatt Regency Calgary for additional nights. The discounted room rate is currently in place for December 28th- January 1st. If you book a room for December 27th (or earlier) or January 2nd (and forward), you may have to pay more for your hotel room.

We recommend staying at The Hyatt Regency Calgary during the conference, so you won’t have to worry about commuting. However, you can make any alternative housing arrangements if you choose.

You can fly into the Calgary International Airport and taxi/uber to The Hyatt Regency Calgary. Rise Up 2024 is being held in downtown Calgary, and is easily accessible for those commuting from other parts of the city.

Self-parking at the Hyatt is available for $10/day (based on availability).

It’s hard to get lost in downtown Calgary but many hotels in the area are a 10-15 minute walk to the conference.
