Sin wounds our relationship with God and can leave us facing giants like fear, anxiety, and struggles we can’t seem to shake. Yet God’s love never leaves us, and like the father who runs to meet his returning son, He calls us back through repentance and mercy.

Like David facing Goliath without Saul’s armour, we’re invited to leave behind what we rely on and place our trust in God, who has already won the victory for us. This session invites us to make a personal decision to follow Jesus, not perfectly, but by placing Him at the centre of our lives and trusting Him with our hopes, fears, struggles, and dreams.

Following Jesus means being both rooted in Him and sent by Him. David, who was both a fierce warrior and a worshiper, is an example of how we’re invited to grow in prayer and action, moving from simply knowing and loving Jesus to sharing Him with others.

Jesus doesn’t just call us to follow Him, He sends us, inviting us to ask the Holy Spirit who He is calling us to reach with the Good News. Like David stepping forward with courage, worship, and action, we are also invited to say “yes” to Jesus and embrace our call as missionary disciples.
