Introduction to Prayer

This course introduces a daily, consistent, and transformative approach to prayer. By addressing first common struggles,but introducing how we can engage in prayer as a relationship that is developed through the ability to talk to God and to hear God speak into our lives. Thissets the foundation for a lasting prayer life.

Greet God

To hear God’s voice, we must first be aware of His presence. We explore how to “greet God” in prayer by acknowledging and welcoming each person of the Trinity into our prayer time.

Honesty

A real conversation requires openness. We’re letting God know where we’re at, which matters to Him, and gives Him access to our lives.

Worship

Worship not only glorifies God, it changes the heart of the worshipper. We demonstrate how to incorporate worship to elevate your time of connection with God.

Scripture

If prayer is where we speak to God, then Scripture is where God speaks to us.. We’ll guide you on how to approach Scripture in a way that allows God’s words to speak directly into your life, regardless of your familiarity with the Bible.

Resolution

Through the art of resolution, we explore how to make your prayer life influence your whole life. With purposeful resolutions, you’ll start to notice how God’s voice is impacting you on a daily basis.

MEET YOUR HOST:

ANDRÉ REGNIER, is co-founder, along with his wife Angèle, of Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO). CCO is a university student movement started in 1988, engaged in the new evangelization for over thirty five years.

He completed his Master of Arts in Theology. He is the author of Catholic Missionary Identity, Five Tenets to Renew the World, Clear and Simple and a booklet on How to Pray as well as co-author of Brick by Brick – a book he wrote with his wife, children and in-laws- on how to raise an evangelizing family.

In December 2015, André and Angèle received the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Medal for distinguished service to the Church. It is the highest medal awarded to the laity by the Pope.

Over the last 10 years, Andre has used his expertise and experience in evangelization and discipleship to help parishes and dioceses to embrace and activate a missionary culture in their people.

This course is designed for anyone looking to deepen their personal prayer life, whether you’re new to prayer or experienced but seeking new insights.

In Learn to Pray, you’ll learn:

  • How to Develop A Lasting Prayer Routine: Participants will establish a sustainable, regular prayer practice that fits into their daily life, regardless of busyness or distractions.

  • How to Build a Stronger Connection with God: You will learn how to experience a deeper sense of God’s presence and become more attuned to His voice.

  • How your prayer times affect your daily life: By learning how to hear God speaks, you will see how your prayer life will begin to affect your whole life.

You have the option for both! By joining Learn to Pray, you’ll gain access to 6 professionally recorded videos with a study guide where André will walk you through the concepts in this course, that you may watch on demand. But for Advent 2024, you will also have the opportunity to join André LIVE online on 4 Thursday evenings at 8pm Eastern beginning November 28. On these LIVE sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to gather as a large group of Catholics committed to deepening their prayer life. You will hear the teaching delivered live by André, have an opportunity to ask questions live, and break out into small groups for further fellowship and reflection.

André will be leading a group online via Microsoft Teams Just like zoom, you do not need a microsoft account to join this video call. You get to connect with other Catholics from the comfort of your own home.
