Hello!!
My name is Mary Alrachid, and I’m a 3rd year Biological Sciences Student at the University of Calgary, Alberta! My goals for after university include working in healthcare and scientific research, while still remaining active in the church and community. Alongside my current studies, I am involved in my church’s young adult group where we meet every month and attend conferences annually. I also am a part of Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) on campus. With CCO, I lead a group of girls in a faith study and am also taking a study as well!
In my spare time, I love to take my puppy on walks and spend quality time with my friends and family. I became on fire for my faith ever since my second year of university after learning that I can have a real and personal relationship with Jesus!

Why do I want to be on Mission?

Ever since learning I could have a personal relationship with God, I fell in love with the faith and the quality of my life has increased so much! I started wanting my loved ones to experience what I experienced and I realized it brought me joy to bring this good news to people. Participating in outreach at my school and leading a faith study for two semesters now has helped me grow so much stronger in my faith, so I can’t imagine how impactful being on this mission would be on myself and on others!
