My Story
Hello! My name is Adam and I’m a second year Sport Management student at Brock University. I grew up in Oakville, Ontario but now I live in Tiny, Ontario, which is actually fairly close to Martyrs Shrine. I love basketball and in fact I currently work as a basketball coach, and I absolutely love my faith. Beyond that I really enjoy having deep and meaningful conversations, especially about things like philosophy and society, and I love spending time with family and friends.
Faith has not been a part of my life for very long, as I wasn’t raised religiously at all. However, over the past few years God has led me along a remarkable journey of exploration and discovery, a journey that led to me finding Jesus and the Catholic Church. The faith has truly drawn me in, and captivated me in a way nothing else ever has, and my passion for the faith has grown immensely. And CCO has played a big role in that, guiding me in my walk with God, helping me go deeper in my faith, and helping me to strengthen my relationship with God. That is why I’m incredibly grateful for CCO, as despite not knowing or being involved with CCO for very long, they have truly had a significant impact on my faith journey.
Why do I want to be on Mission?
Although faith has not been a part of my life for long, Jesus has completely transformed my life, filling me with significantly more joy and peace of mind everyday, and giving me a much deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment. And I’m at a point where I feel deeply convicted and feel a strong calling from God to dedicate myself to serving Him. So going on mission definitely seems like a great place to start. Helping others to find God, spreading the gospel message, sharing about my faith and experiences, and helping others to encounter our wonderful Lord Jesus. Additionally, CCO has greatly impacted me, and as such I have a strong desire to pay it forward and with the help of CCO, impact many others.
