My Story

Hi! My name is Alia.

I’m a wife, a mom to two wonderful children, and dog mom to our adventurous pup, Tucker. I was born and raised in Vancouver.

The early part of my life was marked by struggle, loneliness, addiction, and darkness. I didn’t know God, and I lived without faith or hope. I searched everywhere for healing and meaning—I tried therapy, medication, personal growth seminars, and AA. While each had its place, I can say with complete conviction that true healing and lasting freedom came through one person: Jesus Christ.

Jesus filled my heart with love, forgiveness, joy, and a peace beyond anything I could have imagined. He broke the chains of loneliness and despair, transformed my brokenness into hope, and ignited a fire within me that continues to grow. He saved my life.

Why Do I Want To Be On Mission?

My greatest desire is to share the Good News with others so they, too, can experience His love, healing, and saving grace. I feel incredibly blessed to be part of this Camino mission and look forward to walking alongside others, growing in faith, and witnessing the ways God continues to work in all of our lives.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.” Matthew 5: 14-15
