My Story
Hi! My name is Anna and I’m from Red Deer, Alberta, but I was born in Ukraine, which is something I’m really proud of and deeply connected to. I grew up in a Ukrainian Catholic community, and that has shaped my faith and values in such a meaningful way. I’m currently studying Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary because I’ve always been really interested in healthcare and want to pursue a career where I can help and care for others. Outside of school, I’m very passionate about the outdoors. I absolutely love hiking and being in nature. It’s one of the places where I feel most at peace and closest to God. I’m also someone who loves pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and trying new things, which is a big part of why I’m so excited for this mission. I can’t wait to grow in my faith, meet new people, and take on challenges that will help me grow as a person.
Why do I want to be on Mission?
Going to university has really challenged me to explore my faith in ways I never have before. This mission feels like an amazing chance to grow closer to God and discover more about who He created me to be. I’m so excited to serve, to learn, and to see how God can work in my life in ways I can’t even imagine yet. I want to share my faith with others because it has filled my life with meaning and allows people to experience the same love and strength it has given me. I hope to be a source of support and kindness. I want my experiences and what God is teaching me to help others explore their own faith and feel the joy and purpose that comes from trusting Him. I can’t wait to fully immerse myself in this experience by taking on new challenges and connecting with people who share the same passion for faith. I want to give my heart completely to God, trust Him fully, and see the ways this mission will shape me, my faith, and the way I live every day.
