Antonina D.

Hello, my name is Antonina. I am from Medicine Hat, Alberta and am in my third year of Business Commerce, with a major in Finance at the University of Calgary. I grew up a practicing Catholic, with my faith always being a major part of my life. When I began high school I knew I needed to take my relationship with God to a deeper level. I started taking my prayer time more seriously, lectoring at my local parish and joined the Catholic Women’s League. When I moved to Calgary I again felt that my relationship with God could go deeper. Thankfully, I found CCO and took my first faith study. Since then, I have consciously put Christ at the centre of my life, am leading a faith study and now going on mission!

Why do I want to be on Mission?

I am eternally grateful to have grown up in a Catholic household who always prioritized our relationship with God. My parents instilled in me a strong commitment to go to mass weekly, pray daily, and live a life that exemplifies my faith. By living this out, my faith continues to grow deeper and through this, I grow in my desire to help others find Christ and build a relationship with Him. I have an aspiration to reveal Christ to every individual I interact with, whether directly or simply through the way I convey myself. Through this mission, I will be able to make this goal a reality, by placing myself in a position to help others grow in their relationship with Christ. I am excited to see how I can make an impact in the Church’s mission of evangelization and also deepen my relationship with Christ along the way!
