Antonina D.

Hello! My name is Antonina. I am from Medicine Hat, Alberta in my final year of Business Commerce, majoring in Finance, at the University of Calgary. I am eternally thankful to have grown up in a family that always had faith as a crucial part of our lives. I haven’t known a life outside of Christ. Starting my degree and moving to Calgary I was lucky enough to find out about CCO. I joined immediately as I have always wanted to be a part of a community just like this. It ended up being the greatest part of my whole university experience. My faith has grown to a point I never knew I could reach, I have made so many incredible friends who share my love for Christ, and I have been blessed to lead various faith studies!

Why do I want to be on Mission?

My parents instilled in me a strong commitment to go to mass weekly, pray daily, and live a life that exemplifies my faith. By living this out, my faith continues to grow deeper and I grow in my desire to help others find Christ and build a relationship with Him. I have an aspiration to reveal Christ to every individual I interact with, whether directly or simply through the way I convey myself. By leading faith studies I have seen the impact the Holy Spirit can have on others, through me. As well, I was blessed to go on a mission last year to Malta which was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. My desire to share God’s love has grown exponentially and through this mission, I will be placing myself in a position to help others grow in their relationship with Christ. I am excited to see how I can make an impact in the Church’s mission of evangelization and also deepen my relationship with Christ along the way.
