Guillermo M.B.

Hi I’m Guillermo! I am a Statistics Student at the University of Toronto Mississauga living in Georgetown, Ontario. When you meet my friends they will tell you I’m always smiling, but that’s just Jesus who’s with me. I love a good story and playing board games but I especially enjoy spending time with the people I love. I have been a part of Campus chaplaincy for 3 years now. I have been privileged to be a faith study leader and Coach and been filled with joy accompanying others in their Faith journey towards Christ. As a Math student I look at the world in numbers but the Lord reminds me to look at people with my heart. Since I have placed Christ at the center of my life I desire to love others the way Jesus loves me.

Why do I want to be on Mission?

I know that pursuing a summer job is a practical and good thing, but the Lord is always calling us away from the good in our lives to guide us to something greater. That greater is Himself. This mission calls me from the good in my life to be someone greater for myself and eventually the people around me when I return. I know the Wales mission will push my limits and stretch me for His glory. God often calls us to difficult situations outside of our comfort zone for our growth. I want to continue growing in Faith and Love for Jesus Christ. I want to use the fruits and gifts that have been given to me for the good of others, to Love as he loves me. Luke 6:38b ” for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.” I want to always be able to give my everything to Jesus and this mission will teach me how to give my everything for others and importantly Jesus.
