Hello! My name is Kevin Cuellar. I am an engineer with a lifelong fascination for airplanes, I love understanding how aircraft systems work, but I am equally fascinated by the world around us.
I am a fan of geography, I enjoy learning about different languages, and I am highly into fitness and high-intensity training. As an avid traveler and amateur photographer, I have been incredibly blessed to explore hiking trails across different countries, always capturing the beauty of the outdoors through pictures. Beyond the landscapes, I deeply enjoy listening to people’s unique stories and passions, finding immense joy in connecting with individuals from all walks of life, and discovering how God works through people.

I continually deepen my faith by reading about the lives of the saints. Realizing that they were normal, relatable people reminds me that holiness is attainable for all of us; as a hiker, I often think about how cool it would have been to trek up a mountain with st. Pier Giorgio Frassati.
This desire for holiness fuels my purpose in serving my parish community. I love spending quiet time in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, drawing strength from the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi to be an instrument of God’s peace. This spiritual foundation carries directly into my active ministry, whether I am introducing people to Jesus through the Alpha course or forming young minds through faith talks in youth ministry.

Why do I want to be on Mission?

I am stepping out in faith to go on this CCO Pilgrimission to the Camino de Santiago because I want to actively improve my evangelization skills. While I love serving at my parish, I know the Lord is inviting me to step out of my comfort zone and cultivate natural, meaningful opportunities to share Jesus with the diverse pilgrims we will meet along the Way. By seeking a deeper encounter with Christ through the physical and spiritual journey of the Camino, I hope to return with a renewed missionary zeal to share my active faith even more effectively.
