My Story
I’m Mikael, I live in Mississauga studying at Schulich as a Masters of Business Analytics student. I’m currently aspiring to become a Campus Minister and I’ve had experience working within a university chaplaincy for 5 years. Although I’m studying data, I found my true passion in accompanying others in their faith journey.
In my spare time, I usually play basketball, volleyball, or going on long walks/runs to keep myself busy. I’m a huge learner: I always try to learn something new everyday, whether that’d be in the faith or just general knowledge. I’m also a big believer in finding God in the everyday little things, like a challenging workout, a strategy game like Stardew Valley, or a deep spiritual conversation. I look forward to this mission and everyone’s support as I share the Gospel message to the lost!
Why do I want to be on Mission?
For the first time in my life, God is calling me to Him in such a profound and unique way. In a way that I never expected. I remember during Rise Up, in adoration, before the Lord, I had so many plans and expectations but I also felt like lost sheep. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, but I knew that I wanted to dedicate myself to something. Something greater than me, I just didn’t know that it would be God. Now that God is calling me to give up everything I once thought was important: my career, my relationships, and my worldly aspirations, I now know what is truly important and that is to respond to His loving grace wholeheartedly. I’ve encountered the Lord through adoration, my friends, and my loved ones. Now that I’ve experienced his profound love, I want to share that love with others who are lost, just like I was before. I feel like going on mission is the right next step in discerning what God is calling me to do. Ad maiorem Dei gloriam.
