Amanda Katsande

I have always believed in God but I knew that there was more to Him that I was looking for, a depth with Him that I was longing to experience. After moving from Zimbabwe to Canada for university, I met CCO at the university society fair. It was there that a CCO missionary shared a booklet with me that concluded with a direct invitation for me to say yes to a personal relationship with Jesus. I said yes and this was the most life-changing decision I have ever made; I did not know it before but this is what I was looking for! I went from not feeling good enough for God and trying to appear to be perfect on the outside, to experiencing great freedom in His unquantifiable love for me, and experiencing the intimacy with Him that I thirsted for. There is an incredible amount of love, joy and peace in this relationship that nothing else can provide, this personal relationship is indeed what I was made for!

My Mission

I serve on the Finance team of the movement in the CCO headquarters. Our team is the foundation on which the Lord has built and can continue to build our movement. It is an honour for me to serve in this way that allows us to reach so many people and invite them to God; this is why HQ exists. I also have the joy of getting to interact with CCO’s generous donors and I get to witness the lives of students being changed as they encounter and choose God – this is the meaning of life.
