Angela Metron

Growing up, I was familiar with the Catholic faith, knew it was valuable, but never saw it as a personal part of my life. My initial introduction to Jesus was in high school, but there were still lingering questions and doubts, barriers that held me back from fully entering into a relationship with Him in his Church. In my second year of university, I stumbled into an Adoration event hosted by CCO, where I was in the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist with dozens of young adults just like me. This moment changed everything for me because for the first time, I understood the depth of God’s love, and how intimately he desired to know me, for me to know Him. I am reminded daily that the Lord does not ask for performance or perfection, all he wants is my imperfect heart; and what a joy it is to live a life following Jesus!

My Mission

I desire for my generation to know the risen Christ. There is nothing that brings me more joy than sharing the Gospel with others, and seeing lives transformed in the process. Being a student leader at Queen’s University has equipped me with the knowledge to articulate the foundation of my faith as a Christian, the language to describe my encounter with Jesus, and the tools needed to proclaim the Good News. As I begin my chapter as a CCO Missionary, I am so pumped to see how God will lead me and use me for the mission of the Church. I can’t wait to serve my brothers and sisters in Christ in Halifax, Nova Scotia!
